Parenting is an incredible journey, and you don’t have to travel alone! Across North Carolina, Circle of Parents groups bring parents and others raising children (caregivers) together to learn, connect, and grow. These welcoming groups offer a space to share stories, build friendships, and discover helpful resources and peer support. Each group meets either in person or virtually and is co-facilitated by a trained professional and a parent leader. Conversations cover a wide range of real-life topics: celebrating wins, tackling challenges, and embracing the adventure of raising children.
The Circle of Parents Program is about parents and caregivers being there for each other. It’s built on peer support, shared ownership, and shared leadership — because everyone’s voice truly matters. Every group offers a warm, welcoming space where parents and caregivers feel heard, respected, and supported. It’s a judgement-free zone where members shape the group, make decisions together, and are encouraged to step into leadership in ways that feel natural and empowering.
Circle of Parents groups are free, ongoing, and confidential. Most meet weekly for 1.5-2 hours — just enough time to connect without feeling rushed.
Circle of Parents groups are offered in communities across North Carolina! Some groups welcome anyone in a parenting or caregiving role, while others are designed for specific life experiences — so you can connect with people who truly “get it.” Some examples include:
- Caregivers in the community — groups open to all parents and caregivers
- Caregivers with children 0-5 years old
- Grandparents or kinship caregivers
- Teen parents
- Caregivers of children with unique/special needs
- Caregivers in substance use recovery
And here’s a bonus — while groups meet, many sponsoring organizations provide kids with a safe, fun, and engaging environment where they can explore new activities and make friends.
